Summer activities and celebrations

Summer is here, bringing with it warmer weather and longer days to enjoy all the activities of this wondrous season. For many, this time of year provides an opportunity to slow down and enjoy the outdoors, games with friends and family, and summertime celebrations. Riverchase Estates offers many opportunities to enjoy all that summer brings, both in the neighborhood and throughout the neighboring towns.

Enjoy the outdoors and community activities at Riverchase Estates

You don’t have to leave the gates of Riverchase Estates to enjoy the best of summer. With so many activities and amenities to enjoy, living at Riverchase Estates is like being on vacation every month of the year.

Cookouts and community get-togethers are common, as are daily pickleball games now a mainstay of the community. Every day is an opportunity for fun and rejuvenation with tennis, basketball games, an expansive community playground, event lawn and gazebo.

Kayakers and canoers love the scenic waters of the Catawba River that wind along the 500-acre riverfront nature preserve. Miles of wooded walking, running, and biking trails provide ample room for exercise, shade, and fresh air. A resort-style pool, complete with lap lanes for exercising, offers plenty of room for adults and kids to cool off and relax.

Area farmers markets and fields for picking fresh strawberries

Farmers markets are popular with so many families in the Riverchase Estates area as they make regular weekly trips to purchase fresh vegetables, fruits, preserves and bread. Here are a few of the favorite markets located near Riverchase Estates: Old Town Famer’s Market at Legal Remedy Brewing and Red Rose Farmer’s Market. Many of our residents enjoy picking strawberries, blueberries and blackberries at local farms like The Ivy Place, Springs Farm, and Hall Family Farm.

4th of July celebrations include fireworks, races and town festivals

The 4th of July is a holiday that families and friends look forward to for months and celebrate each year. From 5K runs in Waxhaw, to town celebrations in Fort Mill, Lancaster, and Rock Hill, there is so much to enjoy on the 4th including the Red White and Boom Festival July 3rd in Old Town Rock Hill.

Don’t forget all the great greenways and golf courses nearby

For those who love adding a bit of variety to their weekly trail hikes and adventures, there are plenty of great options including Anne Springs Close Greenway, Andrew Jackson State Park and Landsford Canal State Park. In addition to being located close to Riverchase Estates, each park offers a special experience.
